Summary:
Saltwatershrimps. Red and white banded body and claws, with bands
occasionally bordered in purple. Two pairs of long, white, hairlike
antennae. Walking legs ans some parts of the body are often translucent.
Third (middle) pair of legs are enlarged and, as a consequence, are
sometimes of unequal size.

Characteristics:
Size: 6 cm.
Colour: Transparent, but the carapace, abdomen and the large third pereiopod are all banded red and white. The antennae and other pereiopods are white.
Shape: Shrimplike body with long claws and long antennae.
HabitatEnvironmentAndEcology:
Inhabits reefs. Cleaning shrimp; perch near the openings
of recesses or sponges.
